Do you sew your own garments? Do you love to follow along with other makers on social media? Are you, like me, greatly inspired by all the patterns being designed and sewn by independent sewists all over the world? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then join me as we sew an indie garment pattern together!
Join me this month at the City Sewing Room as we sew the newly released, FREE Studio Craft Tee pattern from Matchy Matchy Sewing Club. It’s a fabulous pattern to get you started on your spring & summer wardrobe makes, and it’s sure to become one of your wardrobe staples. This pattern is the perfect way to use up your scraps, cut up some sheets, or use that gorgeous linen you’ve been hanging on to; all styles welcome!
This is an advanced beginner level pattern, so to take this class you must understand how to use a sewing machine and be able to read and follow a garment pattern.
You are welcome to bring your own machine or use one at the city sewing room.
What to bring:
- fabric : light to medium weight woven are perfect for this project
- pattern : Make sure to purchase and tape together your pattern before attending the event. (Trust me - you won’t regret getting it out of the way!) Get the pattern here.
You may also shop the Maker’s Mart at the City Sewing Room the evening of the event. Their fabric is donated from the community and there is always something unique. (plus most is only $2 a pound so you can plan to get enough for a few sweaters!).
If we do not meet the required minimum number of participants for a class at the City Sewing Room (3) I will let you know 24 hours before the event via email and will refund your class fee. Due to this, please send in your administration fee no later than 48 hours before the class.
The cost of this event is $30 and limited to 6 participants. Register for the event by filling out the form below and sending in your registration payment through PayPal or Venmo.
